Death & Supramental Consciousness

So far I have understood YOG of Sri Aurobindo there was not any aim to conquer death of body. He was searching Truth of existence of this world. He was thinking if this world is false then everything is false.He thought there should be some reason behind it. And he found that this creation is done by a consciousness to transform mental, vital and physical. He tried to transform but he found that with existing force it was impossible to transform physical. So he went up and searched a new consciousness - Supramental consciousness which gave positive results in physical transformation. He found a by product as this consciousness will give immortality to physical body. But it was not the aim of his search.
